Construction Before & After in Tampa, FL
We can talk about square footage and linear feet all day, but none of it lands like seeing a wall come down or a kitchen go from 1980s laminate to Cambria and KraftMaid. These before-and-after write-ups walk through real job scenarios we handle across Tampa, from New Tampa to South Tampa, Seminole Heights to Westchase. You’ll see the same pattern in every one: a specific problem, a written price before work started, a clean site, and a signed 365-Day Done Right Promise in the homeowner’s hand at close.

Recent Transformations

Kitchen Remodel: Closed-Off 90s Galley to Open Island Kitchen
The original kitchen had a soffit boxing in the uppers, a load-bearing wall cutting it off from the living room, and floor tile that had seen three decades of Tampa humidity. The soffit came out, the wall came down with a properly engineered beam, and the footprint opened up into a straight run of Wellborn cabinetry with a Cambria island. The old fluorescent box got replaced with recessed cans and under-cabinet task lighting. Total project time: five weeks, with a written fixed price before any demo started.
Primary Bath Remodel: 1980s Fiberglass Shell to Walk-In Shower
The original bathroom had a one-piece fiberglass tub-shower that had yellowed beyond cleaning and a vanity with laminate peeling at the seams. We tore it down to studs, rebuilt the substrate with cement board and a waterproof membrane, then tiled a curbless shower with a linear drain. The vanity went to a custom Wellborn cabinet with a Kohler undermount sink. Every wet-area surface was sealed and flood-tested before tile went up. The homeowner’s comment at walkthrough: it finally feels like a Tampa house, not a motel from 1987.
Whole-Home Refresh: Popcorn Ceilings, Carpet, and a Dark Floor Plan
This one ran through three bedrooms, two baths, a hallway, and a living space. Popcorn ceilings came down in every room, which is slow, messy work but worth it every time. Carpet and pad were pulled to the slab and replaced with LVP rated for Tampa’s humidity swings. The old honey-oak trim got painted, every outlet and switch was replaced, and the whole house moved from 60-watt dim to clean, layered LED lighting. A project this size only works when the scope is documented in writing before the first day – which is exactly how Bradford Remodeling Co Tampa runs it.
Exterior Repair: Rotted Fascia and Soffit Under a North Tampa Roof Line
Tampa’s afternoon storms hit north-facing roof lines hard, and this home had fascia boards gone soft to the touch with soffit panels pulling loose. The rotted material came out, the underlying framing was inspected, and we rebuilt with rot-resistant material primed and painted to match. The gutter crew had previously attached hangers to the old rotted fascia, which we corrected with proper backing so it doesn’t happen again. Just a clean, unglamorous fix that keeps water where it belongs – outside.
Garage Conversion to Finished Flex Room
A cold, uninsulated garage isn’t much use to a growing family that needs an office, gym, or playroom. We framed the interior walls, insulated to current code, added a dedicated mini-split so it stays comfortable without chasing the main HVAC, and laid a durable LVP over the existing slab. One wall kept the original block, cleaned and painted, because the homeowner liked the texture. The project pulled permits, passed inspection, and closed with the written guarantee in hand – standard for every Bradford job, no exceptions.
Kitchen “Glow Up”: Cabinet Refacing and Countertop Replacement
Not every Tampa kitchen needs to go down to studs. This one had solid boxes but doors that were beat up and countertops that had to go. We replaced every door and drawer face, added soft-close hardware, and dropped in Caesarstone counters with a new deep-basin sink and Moen faucet. The footprint didn’t move an inch, which kept the price honest and the timeline tight. Same written-price commitment, same 365-Day guarantee, just a smarter scope.
